 Committee

 Committee are responsible for:

  • general management and financial matters of the centre.
  • following the rules of the association/constitution lodged with the Department of Fair Trading.
  • ensuring the centre is meeting C&K affiliation standards so the centre continues to receive government funding.
  • the employment of all necessary staff and compliance with the provisions of any awards or other industrial requirements.
  • legislative requirements affecting the centre including the Child Care Act (2002), the Child Care Regulations (2003) and other legislation such as Child Protection and Workplace, Health & Safety legislation.
  • maintenance of building and playgrounds.
  • promoting the centre within the community.
 
Elections take place at the annual general meeting (AGM) usually held in February each year and any decisions made by the management committee are based on a majority vote of the management committee. The executive of the management committee consists of the president, vice president, secretary and treasurer. Other positions which involve varying levels of commitment and specific skills also play an important role within the group.
Involving yourself on the Committee can be very rewarding and enjoyable.
Please consider yourself for one of the following positions.

  • President

  • Treasurer
  • Workplace Health and Safety Officer
  • Grants & Special Projects Officer
  • Child Protection Officer
  • Fundraising / events co-ordinator
The following additional positions are also required to assist in the operation of our Centre. They do not however form part of the management committee and they are not required to attend monthly committee meeting, but are welcome to do so if they wish.

  • Marketing/Promotions Officer
  • Maintenance Coordinator
  • Inclusion Support Advisor
  • Events Sub Committee members (numerous positions)
