About Us

As soon as you walk into the Bribie Island Community Kindergarten you can see and sense the wonderful family environment we have created here on Bribie Island.

Cosy armchairs perfect for reading, an artist’s retreat, hands-on building materials, a beautiful home corner, natural timbers and hand crafted toys all contribute to the warm and nurturing environment of the kindy. Our kindergarten provides children the perfect bridge between the familiar home environment and the exciting world of school and learning.

Bribie Island Community Kindergarten has been providing the community with high level kindergarten since 1982. Our kindergarten sits among beautiful trees and natural surrounding on Cotterill Avenue in Bongaree and is a non-profit, committee-run affiliate of C and K Pre-schools.

At Bribie Island Community Kindergarten we believe that all children are unique individuals who learn at their own pace. We recognize children as social beings, full of curiosity and imagination and having potential and desire to find connections and meaning in all they experience.

Our Kindy is lucky to have wonderful long term teachers and assistants with years of experience and a true love of teaching kindergarten. Our teaching team has been nurturing generations of Bribie Island children and is the pillar of the local community.
